Almost 10 years after moving to Nashville and I have barely scraped the surface of the music business. I have been able to meet some pretty amazing people that truly have a passion for what they do. I have also seen the reality of how it can change people for the worse.
For
me, the songwriter, it's about the hook, about that one melody that I cannot erase from my mind, about the beautiful canvas that is created when pen and paper meet. To write, is to feel free, free from the reality of everyday life. Free to express an opinion without the lashing back of society. The freedom to fly.
The Bible says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:17). God will change you on the inside to make you a new, glorious creature--just like a caterpillar changes into a butterfly.
Everyday, a new amazing transformation takes place in my life. A countless journey to find the writer in me. A journey to find who I believe I was born to be.
